Moonrunners is lacking compared to other similar cheapo backwoods car antic films such as Eat My Dust, Moonshine County Express, Last American Hero, and James Mitchum's dad's own Thunder Road. I still appreciate this grindhouse aesthetic way more than the overblown 2005 Dukes of Hazzard movie.
