The Hamble School mathematics curriculum shares its aims with the National Curriculum, to ensure that all pupils: become fluent in the fundamentals of mathematics, including through varied and frequent practice with increasingly complex problems over time, so that pupils develop conceptual understanding and the ability to recall and apply knowledge rapidly and accurately.
Having done several courses with Hamble, I have always been impressed with the quality of training delivered both theory and practical (and the food, the reputation of Hamble School of Eating is well deserved) – I routinely recommend HSY to members of our sailing club, looking to progress, take the next step and complete courses. The Hamble School offers more personalised transition support programmes for those children who may find the move from primary/junior school more challenging. This can be arranged in consultation with the child’s current primary/junior school. We look forward to welcoming all our new Year 7 students.
