Vio-lence is an American thrash metal band formed in 1985 in the San Francisco Bay Area. Throughout its career, they have released demo tapes, three EPs and three studio albums. Vio-lence is best-known for their association with the 1980s Bay Area thrash metal scene, and often credited as one of the leading lights of the second wave of the genre.

Vio-Lence. American thrash metal band from the San Francisco Bay Area formed in 1985. They disbanded in 1994 after Sean Killian retired from the band. Remaining members went on as Torque (6) from 1994-1997 with Phil Demmel taking over the vocals. Vio-Lence reunited for a small series of shows from 2001 to 2003, and reunited again in 2019.
After playing a string of successful shows, the quintet started to think about new music and in 2022 they deliver Let The World Burn, a five-song EP showcasing their first new material in 29 years, which delivers on the classic Vio-Lence sound.
