The family had later moved to France, where Jean Longuet worked as a journalist and got trained as a lawyer. I was able to find that Karl-Jean Longuet (i.e. the second son of Jean-Laurent-Frederick Longuet) married the sculptor Simone Boisecq and, together, they had two daughters: Frédérique and Anne, both of whom are still alive.
