Threshold es un grupo de metal progresivo de origen inglés, formado en la ciudad de Surrey a finales de 1988. Liderada por el guitarrista Karl Groom, la banda ha tenido varios cambios de alineación durante su carrera, siendo Groom el único de los fundadores que aún sigue activo en la banda.
Un viejo conocido de los primeros años de la banda, el que fuera su bajista original, Jon Jeary, es el encargado de poner la voz en la última parte de “The Shire”.
10 de ago. de 2017 · Threshold have announced that founding member Jon Jeary will make a guest appearance on their new album Legends Of The Shires. The band’s 11th album will arrive on September 8 via Nuclear Blast and sees the return of frontman Glynn Morgan who last sang with the band in 1996.
Critical Mass is the bands follow up to the highly impressive Hypothetical, and would prove to be the final album with bassist Jon Jeary, a founding member, to perform on. I was really impressed by the bands previous release, Hypothetical, and was hoping for something to really raise the bar here.
