David William Edmunds (born 15 April 1944) is a Welsh singer-songwriter, guitarist and record producer. Although he is mainly associated with pub rock and new wave , having many hits in the 1970s and early 1980s, his natural leaning has always been towards 1950s-style rock and roll and rockabilly .
I Fell in Love. This comeback album has a perfect mix of old (A. P. Carter's "My Dixie Darlin'") and new (guest spots from Dave Edmunds, David Lindley, and Albert Lee). If Carter hasn't come to terms with her love for rock and her duty to heritage, she's at least learned to balance them.

5 de may. de 2024 · Dave Edmunds, the Welsh guitarist and singer, heard the original version of “I Hear You Knocking” by Smiley Lewis as a teenager in the 1950s. Lewis’ rendition had never been a hit, but Edmunds fell in love with the song’s catchy melody and upbeat rhythm.
