Mitchell Froom (born June 29, 1953) is an American musician and record producer. He was a member of the bands Gamma and Latin Playboys, and is currently the keyboardist for Crowded House. He has produced albums for several artists, including Richard Thompson, Los Lobos, Suzanne Vega, and Vonda Shepard .
1 de jun. de 2024 · This is the second album with the ‘new’ line-up of consisting of Neil Finn, Nick Seymour, Mitchell Froom and Neil’s two sons Liam and Elroy. In some ways, it feels unfamiliar, but in other ways not, given that three of those five men played on Crowded House, Temple of Low Men and Woodface.

It turned out that they were opening for a band called Gamma, which was Ronnie Montrose's new project and was only him and some electronics/keyboards guy named Mitchell Froom. This was all way before MIDI by the way.
Despite having produced a string of successful albums by artists as diverse as Crowded House, Suzanne Vega and Elvis Costello, Mitchell Froom still strives for a fresh approach to each new project and refuses to sit back and sink into a formula. Paul Tingen talks to him.
