6 de dic. de 2022 · Basil Feilding, 2nd Earl of Denbigh (c. 1608 – 28 November 1675) was the eldest son of William Feilding, 1st Earl of Denbigh. Like his father, the son was educated at Emmanuel College, Cambridge. He was summoned to the House of Lords as Baron Feilding in March 1629.

When, early in the twen-tieth century, Cecelia countess of Denbigh searched Feilding records at Newnham Paddocks, Warwickshire, for her biography of Denbigh and his son Basil, she found nothing the earl had written about his voyage except a letter to Basil (then Charles I’s ambassador in Venice).
