The Star Wars Holiday Special ( El Especial Navideño de la Guerra de las Galaxias, título con que el programa fue conocido en Hispanoamérica), es una telepelícula del año 1978 ambientada en La galaxia de Star Wars. El principal argumento de la película transcurre en el planeta wookiee de Kashyyyk.
Directed by Steve Binder, it was the first Star Wars spin-off film, set between the events of the original film and the then-unreleased sequel The Empire Strikes Back (1980). It stars the main cast of the original Star Wars and introduces the character of Boba Fett, who appeared in later films.
