Barry Steven Cowsill (September 14, 1954 – c. September 2, 2005 [1]) was an American musician, songwriter and producer. He was the bassist of the musical group The Cowsills, who had three top-10 singles in the late 1960s.

Barry Cowsill. Profile: Born September 14, 1954 in Newport, Rhode Island. Drummer (and later, guitarist) of The Cowsills. Following the breakup of the group, he led a nomadic lifestyle, performing occasionally, eventually settling in New Orleans where he was living when Hurricane Katrina struck. He was last heard from on September 1, 2005.
