Robert Alexander Spiers (27 September 1945 – 8 December 2008) was a Scottish television director and producer. He worked on many sitcoms, including Dad's Army and Are You Being Served?, and won two British Academy Television Awards for Fawlty Towers and Absolutely Fabulous.

Bob Spiers. Director. 26 September 1945 to 8 December 2008. In a long career on British television, Spiers became most associated with high quality comedy, most notably the second series of Fawlty Towers (1979). Other credits include Dad’s Army (1977), It Ain’t Half Hot, Mum (1976), The Goodies (1977-82) and Absolutely Fabulous (1992-95).
