Francis Alan Fitzgerald (born July 16, 1949) is an American musician. A multi-instrumentalist, he is best known as the second bassist of Montrose and as keyboardist for Night Ranger. He has also performed with Gamma, and former Montrose bandmate Sammy Hagar.

They named their group Stereo and added guitarist Jeff Watson and keyboardist Alan Fitzgerald to their lineup. Stereo played the San Francisco club scene until changing their band name to Ranger. After the country band Ranger filed a trademark infringement suit against them, the band updated their name to Night Ranger in 1982.

Their influences were varied: Deep Purple, Van Halen, Journey. Their twin-guitar attack was inspired by Thin Lizzy.
