Sydney Sturgess was primarily a stage actress, although she appeared in a number of television and film roles during her career. She debuted as an actress with the Arthur Brough Players in Folkestone, England, and acted with various other repertory companies before meeting Barry Morse in Peterborough, England in January 1939.
