Magma is a French progressive rock band founded in Paris in 1969 by self-taught drummer Christian Vander, who claimed as his inspiration a "vision of humanity's spiritual and ecological future" that profoundly disturbed him.

A parisien guitarist James MAC GAW has already been renowned as a former guitarist of MAGMA from early 2000s until mid 2010s. He's composed material as an homage to Chriatian VANDER and the music of MAGMA in 2004 but it was not released officially.
