Wild Things Run Fast is the 11th studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell. Her first of four releases for Geffen Records, it was released in 1982 and represents her move to a more 1980s pop sound. This was her first album to work with bassist Larry Klein, whom she married in 1982.

Wild Things Run Fast is Joni Mitchell's eleventh studio album and her first for Geffen Records. Released in 1982, it represents her departure from jazz to a more 80s pop sound. The resulting world tour took Mitchell through the U.S., Europe, Asia and Australia.
On Wild Things Run Fast, she sails back into striking pop-jazz-rock territory, but without diluting her muse. If anything, she broadens it and uses more of the colors on her musical palette.

More ambitious is “You Dream Flat Tires,” the album’s best uptempo pop-rocker. “Woman she bounce back easy But a man could break both his legs,” sings Lionel Richie in a vocal cameo.
