Biography. Gabriella Dorio had a long athletics career, and was a member of the Italian national team from 1974-91. After finishing eighth over 800 m at the 1973 European Junior Championships, she débuted as a senior at the 1974 European Championships, placing ninth in the 1,500, before winning bronze in the 1,500 at the 1975 European Juniors.
Gabriella DORIO is a former Italian middle-distance runner who won the 1500m gold medal at the 1980 Moscow Olympics. She also held the national records in the 800m, 1000m, 1500m and mile events.
