Jennifer Azzi was a point guard who played in college at Stanford. She was a first-team Kodak All-American in 1989 and 1990, and in her senior year, she won the Wade Trophy, Naismith Award, and the Honda Sports Award for basketball. Azzi won a gold medal with the US team at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
As Stanford’s first All American woman basketball player, Jennifer Azzi led the Cardinal to the school’s first NCAA Women’s Championship in 1990 and received the coveted Naismith Trophy as the nation’s top collegiate woman player that year. She was also the Most Valuable Player of the women’s Final Four.
