Jürgen Schult (* 11. Mai 1960 in Neuhaus/Elbe) ist ein ehemaliger deutscher Leichtathlet, der für die DDR 1988 Olympiasieger im Diskuswurf wurde. Er errang damit am 1. Oktober 1988 die letzte olympische Goldmedaille für die DDR. Er hielt vom 6. Juni 1986 bis 2024 mit einer Weite von 74,08 m den Weltrekord im Diskuswurf. [1]
