Arnold Charles "Flash" Herber (April 2, 1910 – October 14, 1969) was an American professional football player who was a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) for 13 seasons, primarily with the Green Bay Packers.
Arnie Herber was the first great long-ball passer in pro football and part of the famous Herber-to-Hutson combination. He played 11 seasons with the Packers, led the league in passing three times and threw for more than 8,000 yards in his career.
Arnie threw a touchdown pass to give the Packers a 7-0 victory in the first game of his rookie 1930 season. The Packers won NFL titles in both 1930 and 1931 and remained in a perpetual contending position throughout Herber's 11-year tenure.
