Er gewann eine olympische Goldmedaille, drei Weltmeistertitel und entschied in den Saisonen 2001/02 und 2002/03 den Gesamtweltcup für sich. Hinzu kommen der fünfmalige Gewinn einer Weltcup-Disziplinenwertung und 29 Weltcupsiege.
