Para hacerlo funcionar le colocan un mecanismo que depende de un reloj de delicada mecánica con el que Jack tendrá que vivir siguiendo tres reglas, no tocar nunca las agujas de su corazón, dominar la cólera y la última y más importante, no deberá enamorarse jamás.
