The Blue Nile were a Scottish band which originated in Glasgow. The group's early music was built heavily on synthesizers and electronic instrumentation and percussion, although later works featured guitar more prominently.
As classics go, these first two albums by Scotland’s Blue Nile are absolutely mesmerizing, minimal classics that are about as emotive as good pop music ever gets, and here they’re both bolstered by an additional disc, each adding weight to albums I would readily describe as true pop classics.
