Adrian Nicholas Godfrey (19 July 1956 – 26 March 2006), known professionally as Nikki Sudden, was a prolific English singer-songwriter and guitarist. He co-founded the post-punk band Swell Maps with his brother, Epic Soundtracks, while attending Solihull School in Solihull.

Together with his brother, Epic Soundtracks, Nikki Sudden formed what was to become Swell Maps, releasing 4 singles and 2 albums on Rough Trade (UK) between 1977 and their break up in 1980.
Nikki Sudden was a prolific songwriter and singer, who started Swell Maps with his brother Kevin and friends. He had a solo career and collaborated with many artists, such as Rowland Howard and Jeffrey Lee Pierce, before his death in 2006.
