Günther Prien (Osterfeld, Sajonia-Anhalt, 16 de enero de 1908- presumiblemente 7 de marzo de 1941) fue un capitán de corbeta alemán, «as» de la flota de submarinos U-boot durante la primera parte de la Segunda Guerra Mundial y primer comandante de sumergible en ganar la Cruz de Caballero de la Cruz de Hierro.

He was the first U-boat commander to receive the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross and the first member of the Kriegsmarine to receive the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves of Nazi Germany.
