Richard Oliver Postgate (12 April 1925 – 8 December 2008) was an English animator, puppeteer, and writer. He was the creator and writer of some of Britain's most popular children's television programmes.
Oliver Postgate (1925-2008) was a British writer and actor, known for creating and directing children's TV shows such as Bagpuss, Ivor the Engine and Noggin the Nog. He was also a cousin of actress Angela Lansbury and a pacifist activist.
