Established in 1928 by Joseph E. Maddy, Interlochen Center for the Arts is located on a 1,200-acre (490 ha) campus in Green Lake Township, Grand Traverse County, Michigan, near the eponymous community of Interlochen.
Set in a beautiful, almost idyllic setting in a secluded campus area, Interlochen Center for the Arts deserves its well-known excellence. The campus is spotless, the art and music venues are all excellent, and cannot imagine anyone having a less than great experience here!
Nestled between two lakes, the glorious 1,200-acre campus integrates state-of-the-art facilities with northern Michigan's pristine natural beauty. Thousands of young artists ages 8-18 convene at the Interlochen Arts Camp each summer.
