(trop expresses an accentuation) But, be careful that you know the person quite well to use 'tu'. For more 'formal' relationships, 'vous' is rather preferable ! You'll say then : Vous êtes très belle.

Now a possible explanation would be that it used to be Belle rive (bank of a river, a lake...), with rive later spelled reve to keep a consistent pronunciation. A.
19 de ene. de 2009 · I was saying it wouldn't make sense in English just because you wouldn't say, you know, "beautiful enthusiasm" or anything close to that but I hadn't thought of just saying "great enthusiasm," which makes sense both ways. And that's great about l'echapper belle--I definitely wouldn't have guessed that on my own so I thank you both so much.
