In many respects it’s an ‘old fashioned’ film, and that is no bad thing, using characters and narrative as the story unfolds, with a few twists and complexities on the way. Throwing buckets of gore into the mix also elevates it.

Dog Soldiers has both DD 2.0 and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio options and, surprisingly, the lossless sound actually does make a big difference. Suddenly, Dog Soldiers snarls with vigour, howls with excitable blood-lust and blasts bullets around the set-up with fearless abandon.

1 de oct. de 2005 · Making of Dog Soldiers, strangely, has slightly better picture quality than the actual movie. Sean Pertwee, Niel Marshal and others all provide feedback, sometimes on set others at a press junket. One thing that surprised me was Liam Cunningham is actually Irish, but his English accent fooled me completely.

4 de sept. de 2020 · Have been eagerly awaiting Dog Soldiers in UHD since the first rumours started. Ordered the disc as soon North American Amazon pre-orders popped up beginning of April for a June 14 release. Just checked Apple out of curiosity and it streams two months earlier for 60% less.
15 de ago. de 2022 · An old friend of mine is one of the soldiers in the movie, he actually left uni mid term on a project and after a dispute with another student to go make this. He was also in The Descent and was a really decent guy so it always makes me proud to know he did a pair of really decent movies.

I think he's going from strength to strength and will be looking at his new releases with interest,
