7 de may. de 2024 · And if it really does happen, it is probably small and rural towns, not in large urban areas. Let's say out of a pool of 1000 summoned jurors, 10% do not show up. That is 100. And suppose the judges get pissed and actually issue warrants for those 100 people. Entering that many warrants into the system is a pain.

I’m a white mid-30s man in a senior role in a white collar profession. Based on the Toronto post it seems I’d likely be challenged as “black persons and white persons who appeared intelligent” were immediately challenged.

They give you specific instructions, have you watch a video, and then you wait in the room. As they need people for juries, they may call groups of 20-30 people, and send them to a courtroom.
Failure to show up for jury duty. Hi everyone, First of all, I don’t have a good enough excuse as to why I missed my jury duty. Had it been important enough at the time I wouldn’t have neglected it. They went on to say that I had two pending citations for failure to appear in court for jury duty. They went on to give me case numbers for each offense. They said that a subpoena had been signed on Dec 5th that I was to appear in front of a judge for not appearing for jury duty and I had not shown up. They made me give a statement saying that ...

Doctor wrote a simple one sentence note for me to be excused, but I asked him to be more specific and he didn't want to do another, so unfortunately I have to show up even though I have extreme anxiety and could have a panic attack during it.

djentlord2. ADMIN MOD. I got my first jury duty Summon and didnt realize the questionarre. So I got it in the mail 2 weeks ago. My wife actually opened it and told me about it. I looked through everything and didnt see anything I was supposed to fill out. And it's my first time so I didn't know about it.
