27 de ago. de 2009 · Violet Kirby born 1917, brother of Horace Kirby born 1914 and possible brother Archie born 1911. Violets father was Thomas George Kirby who passed away between 1917 and 1939. Horace married Lillian Spencer. All of whom were from Birmingham, Solihull, Warwickshire area.

Until my father died in 1952, he had a mate who worked there, and my father had worked for Perry Pens since 1919, like many of my family. So his mate never went short of pen nibs,lino cutters and that sort of thing and my mother never went short of Kirby grips! Maurice

29 de mar. de 2007 · Jack Kirby on Frankfort street John, thanks for the listing. This is amazing, but one of the businesses listed on your posted directory page is a Jack Kirby, rag merchant. Jack was a great family friend. We called him Uncle Jack. He had been a boxer years before(and so too, his brothers).
14 de ago. de 2008 · Fred Kirby worked in the stores at BSA Tools, Kitts Green, he lived by the Glebe pub, every one got on ok with him until one day he went into a rage throwing chairs etc about and was sacked, the Kirby family ancestors lived in Summer Lane and had a bad reputation, whether they were involved in Garrison Lane i don`t know.
