15 de ene. de 2024 · Mesmer is built on the traits you pick. Playing a power build without Domination will cut your DPS in half. Mesmer is all about compounding effects. The reason Chronomancer is a preferred power build is becouse you can cram phantasms with many trait buffs into a small window. That upper end of gameplay Mesmer becomes a time traveling wizard of DPS.
21 de ago. de 2024 · 3. Posted August 21. I'm having a tonnnn of fun with spear, which I wasn't expecting because I don't usually like melee. But where sword/sword mesmer has always felt really clunky to me, spear feels FLUID and really engaging. I'm still getting the hang of it, but I love the in/out flow of the fighting style.
9 de ene. de 2022 · So she choosed Mesmer as her first pick. She tried GS Sword/Sword/Focus but it's not her playstyle. She want a more Mage/Wizard like approach so i got her an Staff and a Scepter/Pistol. I'm not that familiar with mesmer (played Chrono ages ago in the god old chrono jail times) so i have not really a clue for an build. We are still leveling.

Both are okay, but Asura have way prettier animations, both attack and movement (Mirage's Mirror Strikes and Lingering Thoughts are really pretty on Asura).Also, Norn running animations, especially male, look bad imo and make Norn very uncomfortable to play for me. :grimace:So, to sum up: I'd recomment Asura. :smile:

Posted December 8, 2023 (edited) My Mesmer Rifle: 1 - Quickfire 3 Chain (1st Bleed, 2nd Torment, 3rd Quickness + Chill if target is dazed) 1/2. 2 - Firing Squad - Summon Two Phantasms in a horizontal line from where you're facing, Blind on hit. Generates 5 Stacks of Might. 12 sec cooldown 1/2.
27 de feb. de 2024 · Overall, Anet FAILED to address any of the weapon skills regarding rifle on mesmer. No mobility Clunky Rifle 5 is extremely niche I don't see this weapon, or support Mesmer competing with Guard or Tempest in sPvP unless they completely rework support traits. This weapon is only going to be viable in organized PvE and organized zerging in WvW.
3 de abr. de 2023 · Posted April 29, 2023. Yes, but a couple of blocks and protection don't make a full healer. Mesmer doesn't have a proper ally healing weapon like a lot of the other specs do. Inspiration does have some heal via traits, and I do like the mantra preparation heal. However, it's not on the ammo, even if at a lesser amount.

That's a whole other level of annoying there. 😆 I was mainly referring to the old-school class design which was based around rapid interrupts, DoT, energy drains and skill shutdowns. GW1 Mesmers could keep enemies from performing most actions, and inflicting self/AoE damage if they tried to use a skill.
