After purchasing the heavenly upgrade Fortune cookies, the news ticker has a 2% chance of telling a fortune (4% with the O Fortuna achievement). Fortunes only appear when cycling naturally; cycling the news ticker by clicking never results in a fortune.
Modules. By default, all upgrades are displayed. If an invalid name is given as the module, no upgrades will display. The primary module names are the full names of the buildings associated with Fortune #001-019 (singular form), in all lowercase with no spaces.

Spamming the news ticker does not make them appear more often, and they can either spawn a golden cookie, give an hour of CpS (capped at double your bank), or give you a often useful fortune upgrade which you won't get any since you ruined the fun and got all upgrades already. 1 ...
