I think you should clear your cloud data of saves (even if you haven't their, maybe some bug occured in steam cloud) from steam cloud, and check your game cache in properties. Look at userdata/"your personal number"/21690. Try to delete this folder in the moment of starting a game.

25 de ene. de 2015 · Within Steam right click RE1, go to properties, and turn off auto-updating (set to only update when you launch the game). To launch the game either use Fluffy Mod Manager or open the game's directory and launch the EXE manually. After all of that you can finally use NTCore to patch the EXE to support 4 GBs of memory.
12 de jul. de 2015 · I bring the solution in case someone else want to start from scratch: Open savedata.bin, located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\XXXXXXX\21690\remote. with notepad and delete a couple lines. Save. Launch your game and try to load the data. Obviously the game will say the save is corrupted and give you the opportunity to create a new one.

Feb 7, 2017 @ 5:19pm Thanks man I've been playing through the game with a friend and it works perfectly fine for me but hes been having a lot of issues and this one just started happening today which is weird because it was working yesterday.
Make sure you're only running one monitor/screen when you launch the game and hopefully it should work. I could initialize the game but i cant run the game. It shows an error: E_INVALIDARG:getDevice0->reset (&d3dppm) just cant fix it... And GFWL already installed and login.
26 de oct. de 2019 · So i had uninstalled the game earlier this year for storage reasons and wanted to play it again but the game installs and whenever i try launching it, after a few seconds it just closes. doesn't reach the logo's it just stays on a black screen for a few seconds and then closes with no error, no warnings, no nothing. can someone help pls?
