Ricker College. Ricker College was a small college located in Houlton, Maine, United States. It opened in 1848 (176 years ago) and closed in 1978 (46 years ago) . It began as Houlton Academy in 1848, before being subsequently renamed Ricker Classical Institute in 1887.

6 de sept. de 2018 · HOULTON, Maine — Former students of Ricker Classical Institute and Ricker College will converge on Houlton this coming weekend to participate in a celebration of the former school and its founding 170 years ago. Ricker initially was known as Houlton Academy in 1848.
The Ricker room preserves artifacts, photographs and documents from the Houlton Academy (1848-1887), Ricker Classical Institute (1887-1966) and Ricker College (1949 -1978). Yearbooks, mementos, pennants, and other items refresh the memories of former students.
