A partir de septiembre La Mata, está muy tranquila. Da lo mismo que alquiles en La Mata pueblo, que en la zona de las Maravillas, pues está muy cerca de pueblo y la playa está a un paso. Además está muy bien comunicada con Torrevieja; hay un autobus cada 30 minutos.
The La Mata Natural Park Visitor´s Centre, correctly called the Centro de Interpretación Parque Natural La Mata, is located just off the N-332 coastal road in La Mata, Torrevieja. There is a large car park, although this sometimes gets busy on market days (Wednesday), and in the summer months.

La Mata, a 2300 metres long and over 40 metres wide beach, is located at the Torrevieja’s district of Torrelamata. To the south it adjoins the Cape Cervera, and to the north it delimits the area of La Mata Tower, which has given its name to this district.
