The doctor gave me the Propofol, I felt a pleasant tingling. I counted to 10, told the doctor that I am still awake. The doctor said “Oh”, and that’s the last thing I remember.
13 de jul. de 2022 · As far as dizziness, you're going to be recovering in a bed for a bit after the procedure. Propofol is EXTREMELY fast on/off, so although you'll be a bit lightheaded from not eating, you won't be extremely dizzy. Depending on the endoscopy suite they may even give you some juice / cookies afterward. 1.

Like, I knew that I had previously known how, and I was certain that I’d know again, but I could not remember that I needed to move my arm down so my finger could push the lever.

15 de sept. de 2022 · My colonoscopy + overcoming my fear of propofol. I wanted to share the story of my first colonoscopy. TLDR it was successful and uneventful. But if you are coming up on your first colonoscopy and especially if you, like me, are afraid of propofol, this story might help you. Low fiber diet, last food at 9:00 PM two days before the procedure.
31 de dic. de 2021 · gremlinsstore. • 3 yr. ago. I much prefer propofol, no benzo. The last time I had an endoscopy, they didn’t use propofol and instead used conscious sedation (versed + Demerol). Completely average doses, not unusually high or anything. I slept for 19 hours when I came home and then was dopey/sleepy the entire next day.
4 de nov. de 2022 · Colonoscopy, Endoscopy, and Propofol Story (Long) Sharing this story to hopefully help those out there who suffer from extreme anxiety in relation to these procedures and anesthesia. This will be a VERYYY long post as I want to detail the extremity of my anxiety and panic, as well as provide the whole process I went through.
First 2 had propofol. Last one the doc suprised me w twilight sedation. Let's say that I did not do well because my stress ans anxiety wouldn't let me become sedated and just made it harder for my doctor. Doc said never again and to have propofol next time. Since this is also ur first time highly suggest u take propofol!
29 de mar. de 2016 · Advice: Propofol is a very good general anesthetic, in my opinion. However, you should take a nice big dose of benzos before they start the propofol. A significant minority of patients, including me, do not drift off to sleep gently. Propofol can make you feel very weird, somewhat like too much marijuana.

There were parts that were bad but they were all experiences and seemed to last a lifetime: Good: I traveled the world with my wife. Same hotel in every country. A giant tree with rooms in the branches.
