Ambrose Powell Hill Jr. (November 9, 1825 – April 2, 1865) was a Confederate general who was killed in the American Civil War. He is usually referred to as A. P. Hill to differentiate him from Confederate general Daniel Harvey Hill, who was unrelated.

A. P. Hill was a U.S. Army officer who served as a Confederate general during the Civil War (1861-65). He commanded a fast-moving unit called the Light Division and was trusted by Robert E. Lee as one of his most trusted subordinates. He died at the Battle of Petersburg in April 1865, at the age of 39.
