A television film was produced in 2006 with David Suchet as Poirot in the ITV series Agatha Christie's Poirot. The cast included Elliot Cowan as David Hunter, Eva Birthistle as Rosaleen, Celia Imrie as Kathy Cloade, Jenny Agutter as Adela Marchmont and Tim Pigott-Smith as Dr Lionel Woodward.
Horror. Taken at the Flood is the fourth episode of series ten of Agatha Christie's Poirot, first broadcast on 2 April 2006. The feature-length episode was based on the Agatha Christie novel of the same name. It was directed by Andy Wilson, and the script was written by Guy Andrews.
The title is taken from Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, Act IV spoken by Brutus: “There is a tide in the affairs of men, which taken at the flood leads on to fortune…” The quotation is given in full in the novel’s epigraph. It was dramatised on BBC Radio 4 in 2004 and starred John Moffatt as Poirot. And in 2006 it was adapted for TV.
