He then returned to the Chicago Fire in 2018. On March 11, 2020, Monis signed a homegrown player deal with Major League Soccer club Chicago Fire.

5 de sept. de 2023 · EDINBURG, Texas – Rio Grande Valley FC announced on Tuesday the club had acquired forward Alex Monis on loan from Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire FC for the remainder of the 2023 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval. Monis is set to make his first appearance in the USL Championship as he joins the Toros.
