(A film that millions love) Am Ama Am Amazonas is no conventional feature but a mosaic of vibrant, subtly comic everyday scenes at whose centre is a three-timing model. It was shot in and around Frankfurt/Main during 1969 by a film collective involving Reinhard Kahn and Michel Leiner.
Marion is successful. She dates three guys at the same time. All three think they’re the father of her unborn child. Then she has an abortion and a holiday. One of her boyfriends loses his sense of smell, another falls into a water tank, the third dies in the Amazon jungle.
