Barry Adamson (born 11 June 1958) is an English pop and rock musician, composer, writer, photographer and filmmaker. He came to prominence in the late 1970s as a member of the post-punk band Magazine and went on to work with Visage, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, and the electro musicians Pan Sonic.

Barry Adamson was born on 11 June 1958 and raised in Moss Side, Manchester, and was bass player in post punk band, Magazine between 1978 and 1982. He then went on to become a founder member of Nick Cave's illustrious Bad Seeds in 1984.
