Blessid Union of Souls (sometimes abbreviated to Blessid Union or BUOS) is an American alternative rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio, that was formed in 1990 by friends Jeff Pence and Eliot Sloan. The band's first studio album, Home, had some success which lay with its lead single, "I Believe".

Blessid Union Of Souls was formed in a small project recording studio in Cincinnati Ohio by Jeff Pence, Matt Senatore and Eliot Sloan. A short time later CP Roth was brought in as associate producer and musician.
Jeff and Eliot are the Blessid Union Of Souls. As fall of 1992 approaches, the demo is mixed and ready for delivery to all the major record labels. After sending the demo out Jeff notices this small label with some pretty big artists on it named “SBK Records”.
