Roode is known for his 12-year tenure for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). After debuting for TNA as part of Team Canada in 2004, he won the NWA World Tag Team Championship with Eric Young.

Roode as a main event singles guy in TNA was so great, especially his first World title run. I thought when he went and received such a big push in NXT that he could excel on the main roster as he would surely have ticked all of Vince’s boxes, but I think he was just about too old.
