In March 2019, Thomas signed his first professional deal with Burnley, signing a two-year contract. In November 2018, he went out on months youth loan to Northern Premier League side Kendal Town.

22 de jul. de 2023 · Coventry City have completed the transfer of 22-year-old defender Bobby Thomas from Premier League side Burnley for an undisclosed fee. Thomas, who had loan spells at Bristol Rovers and Barnsley last season, has signed a four-year contract with the Sky Blues.
