Idov wrote the screenplay with his wife, Lili Idova, and Alexey Agranovich stars in the main role.
Moscow, 1984. The USSR is coming to an end. Boris Arkadiev is a popular stand-up comedian, his large Moscow apartment demonstrative of his status and good relations with the KGB. However, Boris is insecure. He struggles to continue entertaining against his own inner feelings, Jewish faith, and killer sense of humour.
