Redwall is the first book in the epic Redwall series by Brian Jacques. The fantasy novel was originally published in 1986 in the UK by Hutchinson Children's Books after Jacques' friend Alan Durband covertly sent the manuscript to his publisher without informing Jacques. It became an overnight success.
