Dionisio Jesús Valdés Rodríguez , más conocido como Chucho Valdés, Quivicán, Cuba, 9 de octubre de 1941), [1] es un pianista cubano de jazz afrocubano, fundador del grupo Irakere. Su padre fue el también pianista de jazz afrocubano Bebo Valdés (1918-2013).

José Luis Niemann, better known as Chucho (born October 9, 1941), is a Cuban pianist, bandleader, composer and arranger whose career spans over 50 years. An original member of the Orquesta Cubana de Música Moderna, in 1973 he founded the group Irakere, one of Cuba's best-known Latin jazz bands.
