Adolph Claus J. Spreckels (July 9, 1828 – December 26, 1908) (his last name has also been misspelled as Spreckles) was a major industrialist in Hawai'i during the kingdom, republican, and territorial periods of the islands' history.

Claus Spreckels was born in Landstedt, in the then independent kingdom of Hanover, on July 9, 1828. He came to the United States in 1846, and engaged in the grocery business in South Carolina and New York. He came to San Francisco in 1856, where he was in the grocery trade and organized a brewery.
