Columbo Goes to the Guillotine is the first episode of the eighth season of Columbo and the forty-sixth episode overall. It first aired on February 6, 1989 and was directed by Leo Penn. This episode was the first in nearly eleven years, as NBC ended production of Columbo after Season 7 in 1978.
Summaries. An egocentric psychic murders his old mentor, a magician charged to expose him as fraud, by beheading him while he's rehearsing his guillotine trick.
