Hace 5 días · Alameda, Encinal Avenue Line (originally South Pacific Coast Railroad steam line) — High Street South, via Encinal, Central, Main, private right-of-way to Alameda Pier. This was the inaugural electrified Southern Pacific line in the East Bay, starting service on June 1, 1911.
Hace 4 días · Purchased by NWP 5/17/1928; sold to SPdeM 9/8/1944. The car had wood siding when purchased by the NWP. A photo in our Archive collection shows the car in Mexico with steel siding. 'Southern Pacific' is on the letterboard, and 'NWP 05' and 'Culiacan' are centered on the car side below the windows. Culiacan is the capital of Sinaloa state, in Mexico.

It reached the Arizona border in 1877, and in 1883 it was joined to other railroads built west from New Orleans , Louisiana, across Texas and New Mexico .
